PNN – A pro-Palestinian student group was banned from the University of Michigan for 2 years.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from the Associated Press news agency, a pro-Palestinian group at the University of Michigan, which demanded the cancellation of the educational institution’s investment in Israeli companies, has been suspended for two years and its funding terminated.
The “Students United for Freedom and Equality” group has been accused of violating regulations during this spring’s protests by gathering in front of the home of a university administrator and holding demonstrations without a permit on one of the university’s campuses.

According to the Associated Press, tensions over the war between Israel and Hamas led to demonstrations by supporters of Palestine in American universities and the arrest of about 3,200 people.
Last week, the President of the United States signed an executive order calling for aggressive action against anti-Semitism in universities and promised to prosecute the offenders and cancel the visas of international students who support Hamas.
According to Associated Press, disciplinary action against the said student group was announced to them 2 weeks ago.
