The bitter tale of empty stomachs and children dying of hunger
This is the first time that Agence France-Presse has issued such a statement since its founding in 1944.
The news agency’s statement emphasized that the journalists in question are among the handful of journalists remaining in the Gaza Strip and are currently suffering from a lack of food and potable water.
The agency’s photographer, Bashar, who has been working since 2010, had posted on social media a few days ago that he no longer had the strength to work. His body has become weak and he cannot work.
Ahlam, another of these journalists in the southern Gaza Strip, emphasized that there is no water or food to use.
At the end of its statement to the international community, Agence France-Presse announced that none of its journalists have ever been at risk of starvation in the worst-affected areas.
