PNN – Egyptian media reported the departure of a new humanitarian aid convoy from Egypt to Gaza.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen: Convoy number 95, carrying humanitarian assistance, set off today from the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing to enter the Gaza Strip. This move is part of ongoing relief efforts to meet the basic needs of Gaza’s residents.
According to Egyptian media, the Egyptian Red Crescent teams continue their work under harsh weather conditions to ensure the delivery of aid to Gaza.
The convoy 95, part of a series of aid convoys sent to Gaza, includes thousands of tons of relief supplies, shelters, and fuel, aimed at addressing the growing needs of the population amid difficult humanitarian conditions.
This convoy is part of the aid plan for Gaza initiated by the Egyptian Red Crescent. The first convoys under this plan departed on July 27, carrying thousands of tons of various assistance, including essential food, flour, powdered milk, medical supplies, medicines, personal hygiene items, and fuel.
More than two months after the ceasefire in Gaza, the humanitarian aid entering the Strip remains far below the actual needs, imposing severe hardships on the residents, who continue to face hunger, disease, and harsh weather conditions resulting from the war.
Despite international commitments to increase assistance to Gaza, the on-the-ground reality shows that Israeli restrictions continue to hinder the entry of vital supplies, limiting trucks’ ability to cover even the most basic needs.
