PNN – Al-Akhbar newspaper revealed the Israeli regime’s plan for a massive ground military attack on Lebanon and the inadequacy of airstrikes.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Akhbar, some Western diplomatic sources revealed that during the recent visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United States, he discussed with Washington officials the plan to expand military attacks in Lebanon.
Netanyahu has informed them that a major military operation is needed because airstrikes alone will not do the trick and Hezbollah has begun to rebuild its strength with the lessons it has learned from the recent conflict.
Al-Akhbar quoted these sources as saying that the occupying army has prepared a plan for a major battle with Lebanon, which includes a massive ground attack.

Israeli Army Chief of Staff: We have paid a heavy price in the Gaza war
Al-Akhbar wrote: In this regard, the Zionist enemy is seeking to return to a plan that was proposed before the last war, and the change in Syria made its implementation easier. Accordingly, the enemy, using the Syrian lands it has occupied in the eastern border strip of Lebanon with the Quneitra region in the western suburbs of Damascus, will attack the western regions of “Beqaa, Rashiya, and Hasbiya,” and forces stationed on the borders of the “Al-Arqub” region will enter Lebanon.
These Western diplomatic sources announced that the enemy is seeking to deploy a large number of military personnel to carry out this operation simultaneously with new airstrikes.
These sources also revealed that the Israeli Prime Minister opposed US President Donald Trump’s view of relying solely on dialogue to contain Iran and proposed a plan to expand the war on all fronts.
Al-Akhbar wrote: Although Trump asked Netanyahu not to intervene in the Yemen war and not to take action against Iran before the outcome of the negotiations; he did not ask him to change his policies towards Lebanon and Palestine, which increases the possibility of the Zionist enemy turning to expanding the war.
Accordingly, Netanyahu discussed with the Americans the plan to expand military operations in Lebanon and told them that there was a need for a major military operation in Lebanon because airstrikes alone would not work.
