Al-Arabiya: Al-Jolani officially demands the extradition of Bashar al-Assad.
According to Al-Arabiya, diplomatic sources reported that the Golani regime has asked Russia to extradite former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath sources revealed on Saturday that Jolani has officially asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to extradite Bashar al-Assad for trial on Syrian soil.
Earlier this month, Reuters, citing diplomatic sources, claimed that Jolani had demanded money that the former Syrian government had deposited in Moscow.
It is worth noting that the Kremlin had previously announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin had sent a message to Jolani, in which he stressed Moscow’s readiness to develop cooperation with the new Syrian regime.
