Al-Azhar calls for Netanyahu’s arrest as a war criminal

PNN – Egypt’s Al-Azhar called for the arrest and trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal, adding: Otherwise, the law of the jungle will prevail.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Russia Today network, After Hungary welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by The Hague court, Al-Azhar strongly condemned any action aimed at weakening the International Criminal Court or damaging its integrity.

Al-Azhar’s Observatory for Combating Extremism added in a statement that the International Criminal Court is “the edifice of international justice” and that the international community must support it to hold war criminals accountable.

Emphasizing that implementing international resolutions and prosecuting war criminals is the cornerstone of establishing peace and justice, the watchdog added: Humans are equal before the law and there is no room for violating rights or underestimating lives, otherwise the law of the jungle will prevail.

Al-Azhar emphasized that there is no time for silence because silence is the beginning of new crimes, and Gaza is a prelude to a future tragedy, and the result is the same: blood will be shed, international crises will worsen, and lines of pain and suffering will be written with the blood of innocent people.

The statement stated that, given the recent developments in the international community, humanity is facing a fundamental turning point that requires us to seriously consider reviewing the evaluation of international justice mechanisms and increasing their effectiveness.

Al-Azhar Egypt, noting that respecting international resolutions is not only a legal obligation but also a solid moral and humane basis for building a world of peace and justice, added:

Ignoring the decisions of the International Criminal Court poses a serious threat to the international community’s efforts to achieve justice for victims of horrific crimes. Therefore, justice knows no borders and no one, regardless of their position or position, can escape punishment.

Despite the international arrest warrant issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for committing war crimes against the people of Gaza, the Hungarian Prime Minister welcomed him on Thursday.
