PNN – The Lebanese newspaper Al-Banna referred to Sheikh Naim Qassem’s new position regarding Saudi Arabia and examined the consequences of this action in the coming days and weeks.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Banna wrote in an article referring to Sheikh Naim Qassem’s new proposal to start talks with Saudi Arabia: The speech of Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah, yesterday was an important event, especially the part of the speech in which he called for dialogue with Saudi Arabia and emphasized that the conditions after the aggression against Qatar are no longer the same as before and that the “Greater Israel” project targets everyone and no one is safe from its consequences.

Informed sources predicted that Sheikh Qassem’s stance yesterday would complement Iran’s efforts to invite the start of open talks with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to this report, the contacts between Iran and Saudi Arabia have paved the way for Hezbollah and Saudi Arabia to reach the stage of opening a new page and eliminating the problems between them.

The newspaper revealed that the contacts between Riyadh and Tehran took place weeks before the controversial Lebanese cabinet meeting on September 5. In addition, the Americans have also advised the Lebanese government not to overdo the pressure on Hezbollah and the Shiite community, as this could lead to a popular, political, and security explosion inside Lebanon.

Arab diplomatic sources, in response to Sheikh Qassem’s remarks, stated that the notable point in this speech is the emphasis on the positive role of Saudi Arabia, which is something that Arab circles have viewed positively, and the consequences of these positions will become clear in the coming days.
