PNN – “Mohammed al-Bashir,” who was appointed as the head of Syria’s transitional period on Monday, said in his first statement on Wednesday night: The government (Assad) had lost its popular support, that’s why its fall happened faster than expected.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, al-Bashir said in an exclusive interview to Al Jazeera: Assad fled and did not even inform the former prime minister.
He added: We are building a new Syria with the efforts of all its children.
Al-Bashir said: Schools and universities will resume their activities from next week.
He said: Ahmad al-Shara [al-Jolani] has assured that they will be safe, except for those whose hands are stained with blood.
“Mohammed al-Bashir” who on Monday officially assumed the presidency of the transitional government of this country until next March.
