Pak Sahafat – One of the leaders of Fatah coalition said that the US has blocked Iraq’s efforts to buy the S-400 system three times.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report on Wednesday night, Raad Al-Tamimi, one of the leaders of Al-Fath coalition in Iraq, said in an interview with Al-Maluma news agency: The lack of a defense system that can protect the skies of Iraq means more aggression and attacks and repeated bombings.
He added: What is happening now in the Kurdistan region of Iraq is the result of the lack of a defense system that can end Ankara’s violation of Iraq’s national sovereignty.

The leader of the Iraqi Al-Fath coalition said: The United States blocked Baghdad’s efforts to buy the Russian S-400 system three times, and this disruption weakened Iraq’s air defense power for many years.
He stated: What happened on Monday at Arabat airport in Sulaymaniyah is due to the lack of equipment to limit Turkish aggression and that all targets are in the range of Turkish drones.
Pointing out that it is necessary to equip the air defense with Russian systems or any other facilities that can support the Iraqi skies, Al-Tamimi said: “It is important to strengthen the country’s national security by providing the security of the skies.”
On Monday, Turkish drones targeted Arabat Sulaymaniyah Airport in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as a result of which three members of the security forces of this region were killed and three others were injured.
