Al-Hindi: We will not accept an agreement that leads to surrender.
Mohammed al-Hindi, deputy secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, stressed in an interview with Al Jazeera: “The resistance has been given limited options and we are being asked to surrender. Not only the resistance, but the entire Palestinian people have shown legendary steadfastness.”
He added: “The Palestinian negotiating team has shown great flexibility to stop the aggression. Given our flexibility in the negotiations, “Israel” thought it could eliminate the resistance.”
Al-Hindi stated: “Israel cannot advance further, otherwise its forces will be depleted. The depletion of forces and time is in our favor, and we are not afraid to surrender to Israel’s plans.”
He added: “The occupiers want to force us to accept 40% of Gaza. Israel is showing stubbornness, and if they wanted to stop the aggression, they would have accepted a comprehensive agreement.”
Al-Hindi stressed: “The Israeli side thinks that we will accept surrender and time is not on their side. What we are talking about is an agreement in principle that includes stopping the aggression, and this requires providing guarantees.”
He added: “The agreement in principle also includes the withdrawal of Israel from the Gaza Strip. The agreement in principle also deals with the mechanism for distributing aid. We will no longer accept death traps or the Morag axis. The occupiers are waging psychological warfare and we will not sign a framework agreement that leads to surrender.”
