Al Jazeera: Aid arriving in Gaza is far below what is needed.
Al Jazeera News Network examined the relief shipments entering the Gaza Strip in a report and wrote that from the beginning of the ceasefire until the eleventh day, about 7,926 truckloads have entered Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera, the number of trucks carrying temporary shelter tents was much less than the required amount and was about 208 trucks. This is while mobile and prefabricated houses have not been imported into the north and south of Gaza.
According to this report, two-thirds of the trucks entering Gaza were carrying food. Only 197 trucks were carrying fuel, which the civil defense, municipalities, and electricity companies have not been able to use.
The report adds that heavy equipment and vehicles for removing debris and discovering and identifying the bodies of the martyrs have not entered Gaza, just as construction materials have not entered Gaza at all, despite their urgent need for the repair and reconstruction of some half-destroyed houses.
The report adds that solar power generation equipment and panels have not arrived in Gaza despite the dire need; and that not enough medical equipment and supplies have been sent to Gaza hospitals.
Al Jazeera noted that the water crisis is particularly acute in northern Gaza, where more than 75 percent of the water wells in the area have been destroyed or damaged.
According to the report, no cash aid has been injected into Gaza’s banks despite a severe shortage of cash and foreign exchange.
