PNN – Qatar’s Al Jazeera network announced on Saturday morning, quoting informed sources, that the IRGC or Quds Force did not have any bases in the areas bombed by the US.
According to Pakistan News Network, quoting this Qatari network, these sources told Al Jazeera that the American claim about the attack on the Quds Force in Syria is baseless and a deception of public opinion.
These knowledgeable sources added: US attacks are a clear aggression against Syria and Iraq and harm regional stability.
Earlier, American officials claimed that they targeted some IRGC bases in Syria and Iraq.
The Central Command of the United States in the region known as CENTCOM issued a statement on Friday evening local time. The drone attack of the Iraqi Islamic resistance on the US military base in Erbil
On January 28, 2024, in a nighttime drone attack on a small American base in Jordan, three American soldiers were killed and dozens were injured.
US President Joe Biden announced: Today, on my order, US military forces attacked targets in Iraq and Syria that were used by the IRGC and its affiliated militias to attack US forces.
In justifying these attacks, Biden claimed: America is not looking for war in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world. Let all those who seek to harm us know that if you harm an American, we will respond.
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin also released a statement on Friday evening local time after last Sunday’s attack on American forces and the coalition in northeastern Jordan, which resulted in the death of three American soldiers, the American military forces ordered by President Biden to seven bases and installations that included more than 85 targets in Iraq and Syria.
Austin said that the US response to the drone attack on its base in Jordan will be at a time and place of Washington’s choosing, claiming: We are not seeking conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else, but the President and I will not tolerate attacks on American forces. We will take all necessary steps to defend the United States of America, our forces, and our interests.
US military bases in Iraq and Syria have been targeted by drone, rocket and missile attacks since October 17. Islamic resistance groups in the West Asia (Middle East) region, including in Iraq and Syria, as well as Yemeni forces, following the action of the Israeli regime in retaliation for the Al-Aqsa storm operation and the bombing of the Gaza Strip and Washington’s support for these attacks, have warned the United States that the American bases in the region will be targeted.
