Al-Jolani signs draft Syrian constitutional declaration.
According to Al-Mayadeen, Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani signed today the draft of the Syrian constitutional declaration, which is said to have been prepared by a group of Syrian legal experts.
In this draft, which was prepared by a committee called legal experts and submitted to parliament, Islamic jurisprudence has been chosen as the primary source of legislation.
In the draft of the Syrian constitutional declaration, the country is committed to the complete separation of powers and the official religion in Syria will remain Islam.
Syrian sources also announced the formation of a committee to write a permanent constitution in Syria.
Following the issuance of the draft of the Syrian constitutional declaration, which is set for a five-year term, Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani officially signed it.
