According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Wa’a News Agency, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, said in a press conference after casting his vote: Iraq has been able to overcome the challenges ahead and hold the elections on time. We were able to overcome the first challenge and hold the elections on time and in a democratic and secure environment.

He added: So far, no violations have been recorded, and we anticipate that the level of public participation will be higher than in previous elections, because awareness among the Iraqi people has changed compared to previous times, and this will lead to the election of competent representatives and the formation of an efficient government.
Al-Mashhadani emphasized: We need a competent government to support sustainable security with a thriving economy, because the project of building a government requires efficient people, and we hope that the people will elect people who will achieve this goal.
He concluded by stating: Today, we are moving from a conflict over power to a government-building project, and it is appropriate to accelerate the formation of the government and the election of leadership committees in order to reach the level of awareness of the people and serve them.
