Al-Ma’ulouma News Agency reported that Iraqi people oppose Golani’s trip to Baghdad.

Al-Ma’ulouma News Agency reported that Iraqi people oppose Golani’s trip to Baghdad.

The Iraqi Mubarak News Agency wrote: Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani opened the doors of Baghdad to Ahmed al-Sharaa (Abu Muhammad al-Julani), the head of the interim Syrian government, who has been convicted of terrorism, to participate in the Arab summit scheduled for May 17.

The Iraqi news agency added: While the people are opposed to accepting such a figure who has participated in the terrorist groups, whether Al-Qaeda or the criminal ISIS, and has played a role in shedding the blood of Iraqis, committing crimes, and displacing residents from their homes, there is an arrest warrant for this terrorist figure, and public circles intend to hold demonstrations and protest against Al-Julani’s presence at the Baghdad summit.

Hussein al-Qarawi, the head of the organization of the popular movement “Belt and Road”, told Al-Ma’aluma: It is necessary for the Iraqi judiciary to immediately activate the arrest warrant for the terrorist Ahmed al-Sharaa, known as Abu Muhammad al-Julani, immediately after he entered into Iraqi territory.

He added: “The Iraqi people, especially the families of the victims and injured, will hold widespread demonstrations and public protests against Golani’s presence on Iraqi soil to participate in the Arab summit, which was held at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani.”

The head of the “Belt and Road” popular movement said that demonstrations will be held before, during and after Golani’s presence in Iraq, and a large number of children of martyrs and victims of terrorism will mobilize to demonstrate against his presence, especially since such a summit is being held at the expense of Iraqi blood.

Also, “Mohammad al-Dhari,” a member of the “Unified Anbar Coalition,” told Al-Ma’alumah that Golani’s government includes 18 leaders of terrorist organizations, and his trip to Baghdad is part of an American-Zionist plan aimed at reactivating the activities of these groups in Iraq as part of the process of exporting terrorism from Syria.

He added: This invitation has sparked widespread anger in political and popular circles because it is seen as a disregard for the blood of Iraqis and a prelude to the return of terrorists by foreign powers.

Al-Dhari continued: Despite the opposition of most Iraqi officials to this action, the United States has put significant pressure on the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani to accept al-Julani, which could lead the country to a dangerous situation.

Iraqi parliamentarian Zohra al-Bajari also told Al-Ma’alumah that Abu Muhammad al-Julani is still accused of serious terrorism cases and that he is directly responsible for the killing of thousands of Iraqi civilians as a result of his criminal activity during the bloody years that Iraq faced terrorism, and that Iraq will not forget those who shed the blood of its children and caused unforgettable tragedies.

The Iraqi parliamentarian added: “Although Golani is trying to appear as a political leader, the terrorist mentality still controls his movements and goals, and he acts in a Syrian environment that suffers from security and political chaos in a way that turns Syria into a breeding ground for the return of terrorism.” He stressed the need to adopt a firm international and Iraqi stance to prevent the return of terrorism in new forms, stating that the silence of the international community towards the actions of terrorist figures like Golani could return Iraq to an atmosphere of violence and chaos.
