Al-Mayadeen: Hamas’ response to the main issues in the proposed package has not changed

PNN – Al-Mayadeen network quoted a source and reported that Hamas has emphasized its positions in response to the proposed ceasefire package.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Al-Mayadeen network quoted a source as saying that in response to the proposed cease-fire package, Hamas emphasized its positions regarding the establishment of a permanent cease-fire, complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the return of Palestinian refugees.

This source added that Hamas has insisted on the necessity of withdrawing from the Philadelphia axis (Salahuddin) and the Rafah crossing, as well as opposing any “veto” for the release of prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment.

According to this source, Hamas has shown flexibility regarding paragraphs 8 and 14 related to guaranteeing the continuation of negotiations until reaching a permanent ceasefire agreement.

Hossam Badran, a member of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Movement (Hamas), confirmed that this movement has provided the Zionist regime with its response to the proposed ceasefire and prisoner exchange package through mediating countries.

He said: We have a great desire to reach an agreement to stop the war and we are in constant contact with the mediating countries.

This Hamas official added: We exchanged some thoughts and opinions with the brothers of the mediating countries with the aim of stopping the aggression against the Palestinian nation.

In this regard, Reuters news agency reported, citing Mossad, that the mediating countries have delivered Hamas’ response to the Gaza ceasefire proposal to the Zionist regime of Israel.
