Al-Mayadeen: Possibility of resuming implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Al-Mayadeen: Possibility of resuming implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

According to Al-Mayadeen, the Israeli regime, by breaking its promise and violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement, caused the Hamas movement to also refuse to release other Israeli prisoners, raising concerns about a renewed escalation of the conflict in the region. However, mediators are trying to implement the agreement again.

Accordingly, some Israeli media outlets reported that Tel Aviv and Hamas have once again agreed to implement the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which means the release of three Israeli prisoners on Saturday afternoon.

The Hamas negotiating team is currently in Cairo. Egypt, along with Qatar, is one of the mediators of the ceasefire agreement and is trying to prevent the war in Gaza from flaring up again.

Egyptian sources say that it seems that the Israeli side will allow large-scale humanitarian aid to enter Gaza on Friday, and thus there is no longer a problem with the release of Israeli prisoners based on the previous agreement on Saturday.

The Israeli Radio and Television Organization announced: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office insists there is currently no agreement with Hamas on a prisoner swap, but preparations are underway to make a formal announcement. The decision to continue the ceasefire or return to war is now in Netanyahu’s hands.
