Al-Sadiqun Faction: Turkish military has no place in Iraq.
According to Al-Ma’ulouma, Rafiq Al-Salihi, a representative of the Al-Sadiqoon faction in the Iraqi parliament, stressed on Saturday: The parliament had previously emphasized the need to end the presence of foreign military forces in Iraq. At the forefront of these forces are the Americans and the Turks.
He added: This decision is final and is not subject to political review or agreement.
Al-Salihi added: We are witnessing widespread political and popular opposition to the continued presence of Turkish forces in northern Iraq. This action is a clear violation of Iraq’s national sovereignty.
He stated: Our country has the necessary ability to protect its security without the presence of foreigners.
