Al-Shaibani: Israel has a negative role in Syria

PNN – The Foreign Minister of the Golani-affiliated government in Syria described the Zionist regime’s role in the developments in the country as negative.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Riyadh, Asaad Al-Shaibani, Foreign Minister of the Golani-affiliated government in Syria, said at a meeting of a think tank in London: We are not seeking to play a proxy role in any war. We want to avoid tension with Israel and eliminate Tel Aviv’s claims of threatening it.

He added: We view any agreement with Israel from the perspective of rebuilding Syria. Many international parties support our political positions regarding Israeli aggression.

Al-Shaibani clarified: We do not accept the division of Syria in any way. Israel is currently playing a negative role in Syria and is not satisfied with the developments that have occurred and continues its aggression against our country. However, we have not entered into tension and have tried to respond with diplomacy.

He stated: The developments in Sweida province and the coastal areas of Syria resulted from the actions of forces affiliated with the former regime, and Israeli interventions worsened the situation.

Al-Shaibani also mentioned holding presidential elections in Syria within the next four to five years.
