Al-Sudani emphasizes carrying out preemptive operations against the remnants of terrorists.
According to WAA, an extraordinary meeting of the Iraqi National Security Council was held under the chairmanship of “Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani”, Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Forces and Prime Minister.
In this meeting, Al-Sudani listened to detailed explanations from the Iraqi Border Guard Commander about the current situation and the existing fortifications in the Iraqi-Syrian border strip.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Forces also praised the measures taken to secure Iraq’s international borders and emphasized the continuation of the pursuit of border security and intensifying intelligence measures.
Al-Sudani also ordered all commanders to have a field presence and closely follow special responsibilities on the common borders.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Forces also emphasized the continuation of preemptive operations against the remnants of terrorists and their pursuit, adding: “We must make every effort to confront security challenges.”
Al-Sudani continued: “Iraqi security is one of the most important priorities of the government. Any threat that could harm Iraqi territory and its sovereignty will be confronted.”
