Alarming gap discovered in US defense system following massive Iranian attacks.

According to Rossiya Ilyum, the Wall Street Journal, citing Pentagon officials, reported that the war between Iran and the Zionist regime revealed the problem of the shortage of interceptor missiles in the US military.

The report continued by saying that the war showed that the missiles used by the US military are not effective.

The report emphasized that a worrying gap in US military reserves was discovered during the war. The US has received signs that its missile defense systems are ineffective, which is why it is conducting tests on some interceptor missiles.

The Wall Street Journal added that some Pentagon officials believe that the current US missile defense is not up to the level of contemporary challenges. Cheap but powerful ballistic missiles are used all over the world. The US THAAD missile defense system fired more than 150 missiles in this war, which is a quarter of the interceptor missiles purchased by the Pentagon. Replenishment of these reserves will take more than a year.

The report states that the Pentagon has doubts that the SM-3 missiles fired from ships were able to destroy the expected number of targets.
