Algeria: Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip cannot destroy Palestine.
In a message to the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” ceremony in the Algerian capital, which was read by Abdelmalek Tashrefit, the country’s Minister of Mujahideen (former fighters), the Zionist occupiers announced: “With their continuous aggressions against the Palestinian people, the Zionist occupiers ignore the most basic principles of international law and international humanitarian law.”
The Algerian President added in his message: “The Zionist occupiers are trying to make life in Gaza impossible and at the same time continue to usurp Palestinian lands in the West Bank and Jerusalem.”
He emphasized that these aggressions cannot lead to the destruction of the Palestinian state.
Tebboune emphasized: “To achieve this goal, the occupiers, ignoring the most basic principles of international law, are carrying out continuous aggressions, including the organized destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, targeting the health system, besieging and starving the people.”
He announced that his country calls on the international community to take the necessary measures to force the occupying regime to adhere to international legitimacy, immediately and completely lift the blockade of Gaza, and open all crossings to ensure the access of humanitarian aid.
Tebboune reiterated his country’s firm position in support of granting full membership to the State of Palestine in the United Nations, calling it a “fundamental step” towards consolidating the right of the Palestinians to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The Algerian President concluded by saying that Algeria will remain true to its pledge and will always support its brothers in occupied Palestine, and will spare no effort to defend their legitimate rights until the Palestinians regain their full sovereignty and establish their free and independent state with Jerusalem as their capital.
According to IRNA, the Zionist regime launched a war against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023 (October 15, 1402) with the two main goals of eliminating the Hamas movement and returning the Zionist prisoners from this region, but failed to achieve these goals and was forced to reach an agreement with the Hamas movement to exchange prisoners.
On Thursday, October 17, the Hamas movement issued a statement officially announcing the achievement of an agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip and exchange prisoners.
The Zionist regime’s army also officially announced the implementation of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on Friday afternoon, October 18, and announced: According to the agreement, Israeli forces will remain stationed in certain areas of the Gaza Strip, and movement from the south to the north of the Gaza Strip will be allowed via Al-Rashid Street and Salahuddin Road.
Since the ceasefire was established, the Zionist regime has repeatedly violated it, which has caused protests and a wave of international condemnation.
