America: India will never be our ally.

Emphasizing India’s desire to be independent, Campbell acknowledged that the hardest thing to keep in mind is that India is also a great power. It has its own beliefs, it has its interests.
This official of the US State Department reminded us: that India will never be an ally of the US, but this does not mean that we cannot have strong relations with this country.
Praising New Delhi’s efforts to play a responsible role globally, Campbell added that the US expects India to engage directly in the Ukraine issue.
