American activists: banning Tik Tok is another service from the US Congress to Israel

PNN – In a report, “Newsweek” published the critical comments of some social media users regarding the approval of the ban on the activity of the “Tik Tok” platform by the American Congress and wrote: Americans believe that the Congress of this country intends to use this law to silence the voices of Israel’s opponents and block the way to criticize the genocide in Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from this American media, some users of social networks in the United States accuse the Congress of this country of suppressing critics of Israel throughout the United States by banning TikTok.

The US House of Representatives recently passed legislation that would ban TikTok from operating in the US if it does not divest from ByteDance, its Chinese parent company.

Members of the US Congress claim that the program threatens Americans’ privacy due to ByteDance’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Newsweek wrote: Tik Tok and other critics of this law argue that this bill means banning this program and its implementation calls into question the freedom of speech in America.

It should be noted that this bill is supposed to be reviewed in the Senate for final approval. Meanwhile, the US Senate approved the $95 billion aid package to support Ukraine, the Zionist regime, and Taiwan.

In the midst of the voting of this bill, some social media users criticized the US Congress and said that the ban on Tik Tok is in line with the US’s attempt to suppress the opposition of Israel (regime) in the midst of their war against Gaza.

Critics consider the support of American youth for the cause of Palestine and their activities in this direction as the reason for this action of the Congress.

One of these critics with the user account “@StopZionistHate” wrote on X: “They just want Tik Tok to be run by an owner that they can manage to silence criticism of Israel.”

A user named “Gerald Celente” wrote: Tik Tok was the last place where Israel faced opposing voices, the hand of the Israeli lobby is at work.

A user with the account “@SirStevenKJ” wrote on X: “The parliament passed the Tik Tok control bill because it literally allowed criticism of Israel and Ukraine.”

The Citizen Free Press shared a video of New York University professor Scott Galloway speaking about recent pro-Palestinian protests on campuses, saying: I think that by passing this law, all of us and especially the youth, whose Tik Tok is their picture frame to watch the world, will be under the control (of their rulers). For every pro-Israel video uploaded on Tik Tok, there are 52 pro-Hamas or Palestinian videos.

In response to the approval of the law prohibiting Tik Tok, the spokesperson of Tik Tok announced in a statement: It is unfortunate that the US House of Representatives is passing a bill that would infringe on the free speech rights of 170 million Americans, destroy 7 million American businesses, and destroy a platform that contributes $24 billion to the US economy annually.
