PNN – A U.S. military analyst has assessed that Europe lacks the strength needed to confront Russia.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Scott Ritter — a military analyst and former U.S. Marine Corps intelligence officer — told RIA Novosti that Europe does not pose any significant threat to Russia.
He said European countries are unable to act on the statements made by their political leaders, noting that no European state has meaningful military power or the capability to face Russia in a real confrontation.

Ritter argued that most European countries have limited operational capacity and are more focused on projecting political and military posturing than taking real action on the battlefield.
European states, within the framework of NATO, are trying to compensate for their military shortcomings by increasing the defense budgets of member countries.
Meanwhile, the United States has announced plans to withdraw part of its forces from Europe — a move that could further complicate the continent’s ability to defend itself against external threats.
