PNN – An English-language media outlet reported that American commanders had been concerned about the vulnerability of Middle Eastern bases for years.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; The Wall Street Journal reported: U.S. military commanders have long worried that bases in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states are vulnerable to Iranian missile and drone attacks. In recent years, they have proposed moving key aircraft to western Saudi Arabia, away from Iran.
However, the plan was never implemented, and US assets at Prince Sultan Air Base were heavily targeted by Iran.
