PNN – An American media claimed: US President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he is “concerned about possible Israeli military operations in southern Gaza after the end of the current pause in the war.”
According to Pakistan News Network, the American news site Axios reported on Wednesday local time, quoting two American officials: The Biden administration is deeply concerned that Israel’s operations in the southern Gaza Strip, home to two million Palestinians, will result in more civilian casualties and deepen the humanitarian crisis in the region.
The American media quoted unnamed American officials as saying: “Biden told Netanyahu that the method of Israeli operations in the north of Gaza cannot be repeated in the south of this area.”
Axios continued: “Two American and Israeli officials said that Netanyahu told Biden that the operation in the south is necessary to achieve Israel’s goal of destroying Hamas, and that the Israeli people will not accept the cessation of military operations now.”
According to this report, Netanyahu has agreed to Biden’s request for a discussion between the US and Israel about any operation in southern Gaza before any attack.
Linda Thomas Greenfield, the United States ambassador to the United Nations, told reporters on Wednesday local time: We hope that the cessation of hostilities in Gaza will be extended.
The senior diplomat of the administration, Joe Biden, added that the United States supports the extension of the Gaza ceasefire for the release of prisoners.

“We will continue our efforts until all the hostages of Hamas and other groups are released,” Greenfield stated.
The American ambassador added: “All this is in the hands of Hamas. The Israelis have said they will extend the breaks by one day if they continue to release 10 hostages a day. So it’s really in their hands [Hamas]. “I think there is capacity for that and we are actively working to extend the agreement.”
The Biden administration has faced widespread public pressure to pressure Israel into agreeing to a long-term ceasefire in Gaza. Washington has not called for a ceasefire so far and has said that the end of the war will benefit Hamas.
Gilad Erdan, Israel’s ambassador and representative to the United Nations, claimed on Wednesday local time at the Security Council meeting about Palestine and the Gaza Strip in New York: “The war can end tomorrow or even today, provided Hamas releases all hostages and hands over all terrorists involved in the October 7 massacre.”
This diplomat of the extremist government of Benjamin Netanyahu called Hamas a terrorist organization and accused the foreign ministers of Arab countries of supporting it and claimed: The foreign ministers of some Arab countries have come here today to support “a terrorist organization” whose goal is to destroy Israel.
Addressing the members of the Security Council, he claimed: “This deep hatred of Israel and the Jews, from before its establishment until today, originates from the same genocidal ideology that drives Hamas.”
Tel Aviv’s ambassador claimed: Anyone who supports the ceasefire basically supports the continuation of the reign of terror in Gaza.
The Israeli ambassador accused Hamas of ignoring the people of Gaza and claimed that the only thing Hamas was interested in was the implementation of Hitler’s final solution.
