American media: Eurovision is on the verge of collapse due to Israel’s presence

PNN – An American journalist has assessed the Eurovision Song Contest as being at risk of collapse due to the participation of the Zionist regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Yemen’s state news agency, Dave Keating, an American journalist specializing in European affairs, warned in an article that the Eurovision Song Contest is facing the risk of collapse, as a growing number of countries have decided to withdraw from the competition in protest against the participation of the Zionist regime.

Keating explained that the wave of withdrawals has plunged Eurovision into an unprecedented crisis, noting that the European body responsible for organizing the event may be unable to implement the necessary reforms to bring countries back or to compensate for the political and media repercussions arising from the situation.

He added that the continuation of this situation threatens the future of Eurovision as an artistic event and turns it into an arena of political disputes that organizers are unable to manage.

After five countries boycotted the Eurovision 2026 contest in protest against the organizers allowing the Zionist regime to participate, Nemo Mettler, the winner of Eurovision 2024, returned his trophy.

Nemo, from Switzerland, who won the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden, said in a statement that he would return his 2024 victory trophy because Israel had been allowed to participate in the next edition of the pop music competition.

He said that Eurovision claims to support unity, inclusion, and dignity for all people, while Israel’s ongoing genocide against the people of Gaza has shown that these ideals are in contradiction with the decisions of the organizers.

The European Broadcasting Union, which organizes Eurovision, allowed the Zionist regime to participate in next year’s event in Austria, prompting Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, and Slovenia to announce that they would boycott the competition.
