PNN – The Council on American-Islamic Relations criticized the duality in the behavior and speech of US President Joe Biden regarding Gaza.
According to Pakistan News Network, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which is a civic group in the United States, criticized in a statement that Joe Biden’s rhetoric is inconsistent with his actions regarding the events in Gaza.
This council clarified in a statement that although the Biden administration has intensified its criticism of Israel’s war in Gaza, these rhetorics have not changed the fundamental policy of American support for Israel.
The group’s statement reads: “In a press conference last night, the president admitted that Israel’s military operations in Gaza were “excessive”.
This statement adds: “Although the rhetoric of the Biden administration regarding Gaza has gradually softened over the past few days, the behavior of the administration has not changed.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations has also stated: “The Biden administration is not a passive observer in the Gaza genocide, but is intensifying the violence, and the president can end this issue with a phone call if he wants to.”

Joe Biden described Israel’s military response in Gaza to the Al-Aqsa storm operation on October 7 as “excessive” on Friday morning.
He told reporters in the White House: “As you know, my view is that [Israel’s] response in Gaza was excessive.”
In more than four months since the Gaza war, America has been the main supporter of Israel. Nearly 28 thousand Palestinians were martyred in this war and tens of thousands were injured. About 80% of the population of this neighborhood have also been displaced.
The American President’s statements were made in a situation where the public pressure on him to try to establish a ceasefire in Gaza has intensified, and he is especially aware of the consequences of these pressures, especially on his vote basket among the supporters of the Democratic Party.
The results of a new poll in America that was conducted some time ago showed that the war in Gaza may have a more negative impact on Joe Biden’s voter base in the US election than his main potential rival, “Donald Trump.”
This survey, which was conducted jointly by the “Yugav” base and the Economist newspaper, showed that 51% of Biden voters in 2020 considered Israel’s actions to be genocide, while this figure was only 12% for Trump voters.
Also, 20% of those who voted for Biden say that Israel’s actions are not an example of genocide, while this figure for Trump voters is 67%.
