PNN – A group of American parents and civic activists rallied in front of the US Congress on Thursday (local time) in a concerted effort to pass the Children’s Online Safety Act.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from Hill’s website, the rally, held on Capitol Hill, aimed to highlight the urgent need for legislation to protect children from various online harms, including cyberbullying, exploitation and psychological harm that affects young children.

Parents who have lost their children due to harassment in cyberspace has caused psychological damage in their children gathered in front of the US Congress and demanded the accountability of technology companies regarding the safety of minors in the platforms provided by these companies.
They also called on the Energy and Commerce Committee of the US Congress to bring the “Safety of Children in Cyberspace” plan to the floor of the US House of Representatives for a vote before lawmakers leave Washington for the pre-election recess.
