American pilots’: Iran’s attack on Israel was overwhelming.
According to Al-Mayadeen, CNN, citing a number of US Air Force pilots and flight crews, published more details and a new narrative about Operation “True Promise 1”.
The American television network, citing American pilots and flight crews who were helping Israel counter the Iranian missile attack, wrote: “It was a grueling night and the first real test for our forces.”
They admitted: “(On the night of Operation True Promise 1 by Iran) the situation at one of our bases in the region was chaotic. Our defense system was involved in the mission to counter Iranian missiles, but our forces had been transferred to shelters.”
The American pilots continued: “We had the best radars at our disposal, but no one knew whether these radars could detect Iranian drones or not. The mission that night was to shoot down Iranian drones with all our weapons power, but we quickly lost our missiles within 20 minutes due to the large number of Iranian drones.”
These pilots also said: “When we were ordered to fly that night, we had no idea what kind of attack Iran was going to do.”
