PNN – With the spread of anti-Israel protests in the country’s universities, the American police arrested 45 protesters at Yale University.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing CNN, the “New Haven” police in the state of Connecticut announced that the arrested protestors were transferred to a police center for administrative work.
A video published online showed police forces at the entrance of the Ivy League school of Yale University and the halls of the New Haven campus, where about 200 protesting students gathered.
The justification for the massive presence of riot police in the university is the incident earlier this week, in which a Jewish journalist present at the scene claimed that one of the protesters hit him in the eye with a Palestinian flag.

In an email to students, Yale President Peter Salovey confirmed that the protests were generally peaceful and warned that the school “will pursue disciplinary action in accordance with its policies regarding the ongoing protests.”
Protests by pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel students at many American universities have increased since the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas.
Meanwhile, the New York police arrested more than 100 protesters, including the daughter of Ilhan Omar, a member of the US House of Representatives, after dismantling the tents of supporters of Palestine on the campus of Columbia University.
Also, a number of students who participated in the sit-in and protest against Israel said they were suspended from attending Columbia University and Barnard College.
