American Senator: We are accomplices of Israel in killing Palestinians’
According to Al Jazeera, although the political body in America is in favor of the brutality of the Zionist regime in Gaza due to the powerful Zionist lobby, progressive politicians in this country adopt more popular positions.
Based on this, Bernie Sanders, a Jewish and progressive American senator, once again criticized the policies of the Zionist regime towards Gaza.
Referring to the public opinion’s attention to the US presidential election, Sanders demanded to pay attention to the Gaza war and not to forget the Palestinians.
This American senator issued a statement saying: While many media outlets are now focusing on the US presidential election, we should not close our eyes to what is happening in Gaza. Now the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza is getting worse.
In the continuation of this statement, Sanders once again called for the establishment of an immediate ceasefire to help civilians, referring to the increase in the number of human casualties in Gaza and the health crisis in this strip.
This statement emphasizes that in the middle of this brutality and violation of international laws, we are witnessing that America is sending billions of dollars of money and thousands of bombs and other types of weapons to Israel to support the war. As American citizens, we are complicit in this crime.
Although Sanders is part of the American Jewish community, he has been labeled anti-Semitic many times because of his criticism of the Zionist regime. This American senator is known for his leftist positions, and although he is considered an independent party, he has allied with the Democratic Party in the Senate elections.
