PNN – A number of students from “Brown” University in America have entered the eighth day of hunger strike in defense of the people of Gaza.
Pakistan News Network; a group of Brown University students entered the eighth day of their hunger strike in support of the rights of the Palestinian people.
The action of these students is aimed at putting pressure on the university to stop cooperating with companies and businesses that, according to them, are profiting from the occupation of Palestinian lands by the Zionist regime during the Gaza war.
In this regard, 19 students of this university located in the state of Rhode Island, USA, have started their hunger strike since February 2 in support of the Palestinian people. They have stated that they will continue their hunger strike as long as university officials continue to support companies that support the Zionist regime.
This will probably be the longest hunger strike in American history since the beginning of the current war between the Zionist regime and Hamas forces in Gaza. The said strike was organized by university groups supporting solidarity with Palestine in order to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinian martyrs has increased to 28,176 and 67,784 others have been injured.
The Brown student hunger strike is said to be inspired by an 11-day hunger strike in 1986, in which strikers demanded the abolition of apartheid against South Africans.
Earlier, during the protests of Palestinian supporters in this university, nearly 61 students were arrested and arrested. The protesters have stated that their actions are in line with efforts to protect the rights of the people of Gaza. For more than a week, the strikers have only used water to drink and have not eaten any food.
In these eight days, they have implemented other programs in the university campus to inform students about the military operations of the Zionist regime in Gaza, and they have demanded that the university refuse to cooperate with companies that profit from human rights violations in Palestine.
Brown University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in America, since the beginning of the Gaza war, many actions have been taken by its students to support the Palestinian people.
