American Zionist Foundation donates $26 million to Weizmann Institute.
According to the Israel Hume newspaper, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Zionist Foundation, located in Ohio, announced today (Tuesday) a donation of $26 million to the Weizmann Institute of Science in the city of Rehovot, occupied Palestine.
According to the report, this donation is intended for the reconstruction of destroyed laboratories and damaged equipment due to Iran’s missile response to the criminal attacks of the Zionist regime last June.
The Mandel Foundation is one of the largest Zionist foundations in the world, which has donated about 3 billion shekels to Israel so far. The foundation was founded by brothers Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel in Ohio and has been operating in occupied Palestine since 1990, providing scholarships to Israeli researchers in influential and development-oriented research centers.
While the foundation is trying to rebuild the Weizmann Institute of Science by allocating this financial assistance, Zionist sources have recently acknowledged in a report that during Iran’s missile response to the Zionist regime’s criminal attacks in the 12-day imposed war, the research buildings of the Institute of Science were severely damaged and more than 50 laboratories were closed.
Alon Khan, the head of the Weizmann Institute, estimated the damage to the institute’s laboratories and facilities at between one and a half to two billion shekels ($400 to $540 million). In addition, a large amount of property and equipment has been damaged, and students have nothing to do.
He also emphasized that the Zionist regime’s research centers have been boycotted by international institutions and universities and refuse to cooperate with Israeli researchers in the scientific and academic fields.
The Weizmann Institute was founded in 1944, inspired by the name of “Chaim Weizmann”, one of the Zionist leaders and the first head of the regime. This institute is known as the “security brain of the Zionist regime,” and its targeting demonstrates the severe impact of Iranian missile and drone attacks on the occupiers’ strategic positions and centers.
This institute, which was targeted by Iranian missiles, is not a scientific center, but is known as an important part of the Zionist regime’s national security infrastructure and an institution effective in the Zionist regime’s crimes, which plays a key role in supporting the occupiers’ complex military operations through sensitive and advanced research and technologies.
