PNN – Repeating Washington’s anti-Iranian claims and supporting Israel, the ambassador and deputy representative of the United States in the United Nations claimed that the normalization of relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors would create concrete benefits on the political horizon for the Palestinian people, and Tel Aviv’s neighbors would benefit from it.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Robert Wood, the ambassador and deputy representative of the United States in the United Nations for political affairs, added: Biden has clearly said that sustainable peace in the region can only be achieved through a two-state solution, guaranteeing Israel’s security.
This American diplomat claimed: There is no other way than to guarantee the security and future of Israel as a democratic Jewish state. There is no other way but to guarantee the Palestinians to live with dignity and in peace in their own country. Also, there is no other path that leads to regional integration between Israel and all of its Arab neighbors, including Saudi Arabia.

Robert Wood once again called Hamas a terrorist because of the Al-Aqsa storm operation that was carried out on October 7, 2023 in retaliation for decades of crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people and said: We have long called on the Palestinian Authority to make the necessary reforms to help prepare for statehood, noting that Hamas – a terrorist organization – currently in Gaza, is an integral part of the government envisioned in this resolution, power and influence. The main focus of Washington’s policy before the terrorist attacks of Hamas on October 7 was to promote the normalization of relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors and, as a vital element of the normalization of relations, to create tangible benefits on the political horizon for the Palestinian people.
This American diplomat claimed: America believed that the normalization of relations is the most durable path for progress, in the situation where the situation between Israelis and Palestinians was insoluble.
He claimed: Hamas and its Iranian backers would probably prefer that this effort not come to fruition, but we are determined to see it through. In fact, we believe that this approach can concretely advance Palestine’s goals in a meaningful and sustainable way.
The deputy representative of the United States in the United Nations stated: We also believe that considering Iran’s unprecedented and cruel attack on Israel on April 12, Israel’s neighbors will benefit greatly from the normalization of relations.
Robert Wood continued: The United States is committed to intensifying its engagement – with the Palestinians and the rest of the region – not only to address the current crisis in Gaza, but to advance a political solution that paves the way for Palestinian statehood and UN membership.
