America’s defense of Israel’s actions despite the judgment of The Hague Tribunal

PNN – Despite the ruling of the International Court of Justice against Israel, the US government continued to support the actions of this regime in Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued to defend the actions of this regime in Gaza despite the ruling of the International Court of Justice against Israel.

According to the Al Jazeera news channel, the spokesperson of the US State Department said that the claims made against Israel regarding the genocide in Gaza are “baseless”.

Judges of the International Court of Justice issued interim rulings against Israel at the request of South Africa. In short, this court asked Israel to take all necessary measures to prevent the genocide in Gaza.

The court also ordered Israel to report to The Hague court all the measures it has taken to prevent the genocide within one month. The judge of this court said that the said sentence creates international obligations for Israel.

The chief judge of the International Court of Justice said that at least some of Israel’s actions, which have been raised in South Africa’s case, constitute violations of the provisions of the UN Genocide Convention.

Among other important rulings of this court was that, against Israel’s request, it confirmed its jurisdiction to issue a verdict in this case.

The spokesperson of the US State Department also claimed that Israel has the right to take measures to ensure that the events of October 7 are not repeated.

On October 7th, the Islamic resistance movement of Palestine, Hamas, in response to more than seven decades of occupation of Palestine and nearly two decades of siege of Gaza and imprisonment and torture of thousands of Palestinians, started the operation known as “Al-Aqsa Storm”.

This operation was one of the deadliest attacks against this regime. Hamas fighters penetrated into the occupied territories at several points of the border fences, attacked the villages and besides killing a large number of Israelis, captured a number of them. Reports indicate that Hamas is currently holding 136 Israeli prisoners in Gaza.

In response to this operation, the Zionist regime launched heavy attacks against Gaza and put this area under complete siege. So far, at least 26,000 Palestinians have been killed and 63,000 others have been injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza. Despite this, as analysts say, the al-Aqsa storm operation has imposed a major security-political defeat on Israel.

In part of his statement, the spokesperson of the US State Department asked Israel to take the necessary measures to reduce civilian casualties and allow more aid to enter Gaza.
