America’s staging in Syria with Tahrir al-Sham terrorists.
The American newspaper “Wall Street Journal” quoted officers from this country as saying that the US military plays an important diplomatic and behind-the-scenes role in Syria, helping to mediate deals between militia groups and the new government [of the terrorists of Tahrir al-Sham] and is engaged in stabilizing Takfiri terrorists in Syria.
For years, the United States has supported terrorist groups around the world based on its interests; from Afghanistan in the 1980s to Syria during the recent crisis in that country. In Syria, direct and indirect US support for terrorist groups such as the former “Jabhat al-Nusra” (later “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham”) and other extremist groups has created and spread insecurity, destruction and genocide. At one point, the US referred to these groups as “moderate rebels” and equipped and financed them through its allies, such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. This support initially not only did not lead to the overthrow of the legitimate Syrian government, but also led to tragedies such as the massacre of religious minorities, including Shiites, Alawites and Christians. Of course, this cursed tree eventually bore fruit and the central government fell and Syria fell into the hands of terrorists. This fact has also been confirmed by some American political figures in recent years, although often with a specific perspective and narrative.
In an important confession in an interview with Fox News, J.D. Vance, Donald Trump’s vice president, pointed out the consequences of America’s interventionist policies and said: “When America encouraged these [so-called] Islamic rebels, as the mainstream media wanted them to take over a country (Syria), it was these religious minorities, especially Christians, who were destroyed. We do not want to see another Christian community wiped off the face of the earth! … The result of our invasion of Iraq was that we destroyed one of the great historical Christian communities in the world, and we do not want to let that happen again. We are certainly not putting military forces in Syria, but there is much that we can do diplomatically and economically to protect some of these groups.” While these words indicate an acceptance of part of the truth, they also reflect a limited view of the tragedies caused by American policies. What Vance does not mention is that the main victims of American support for terrorism have been Muslims, especially Shiites; from Iraq to Syria to Yemen. Tragedies such as the massacre of Shiites in the coastal areas of Syria, the chain of bombings against the shrines of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), and the displacement of millions of Muslims have all been consequences of Washington’s war-mongering policies and its open and covert support for Takfiri groups. Another part of his speech also confirms support for terrorists “in other words”! As we will read in the following lines, the American newspaper confirms how the United States is seeking to create an agreement in Syria to strengthen the ruling terrorists.
