PNN – US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan claimed in a strange statement that attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon may lead to a cessation of violence.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from “Al Jazeera”, the American official admitted that following the targeting of senior Hezbollah leaders and the explosion of communication devices throughout Lebanon, the risk of escalation has become “acute”.
But he claimed that these large-scale attacks could actually reduce the rising tensions in the Middle East region.
During terrorist operations on Tuesday and Wednesday in Lebanon, the Zionist regime killed at least 37 Lebanese citizens and injured more than 4,000 others by sabotaging and blowing up thousands of pagers, wireless and communication systems.
On Thursday, the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah stressed that the Zionist regime violated all red lines with its recent terrorist operations in Lebanon and will pay a heavy price.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the US Department of Foreign Affairs announced that “Washington does not want to witness the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East by any side by increasing the tensions in the region between Hezbollah and Israel”, while emphasizing the defense of his country against this regime.
Matthew Miller stated that Washington is committed to “defending Israel” against resistance groups including Hezbollah, but at the same time claimed that Washington’s priority is de-escalation.
