Amnesty for Hunter Biden; A long tradition of judicial corruption in America

PNN – Political systems throughout American history have always used the judicial system to digest different communities and consolidate political power in favor of whites.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, on Sunday, US President Joe Biden used his presidential powers and granted amnesty to his son in the case of weapons possession and tax evasion charges.

CNN, as a media that supports Democrats and Joe Biden, described his action on Sunday as a “strange development” because he came to office with the promise of restoring the independence of the American judicial system.

In June of this year, Hunter was found guilty by a Delaware state jury in the case of weapons charges. According to prosecutors, the son of the President of the United States lied in the gun purchase case and claimed that he did not use illegal drugs or was not addicted to them.

Joe Biden said in a statement issued shortly after the verdict that he accepts the result and respects the judicial process. Despite this, he showed on Sunday that he adhered to this court ruling only at the slogan level.

Adherence to court cases is not as good as Trump’s and Biden’s slogans

Biden’s action takes place a few days after Jack Smith, the special investigator investigating Donald Trump’s allegations, announced the cancellation of some federal charges against him regarding election interference and misuse of classified documents.

A few days before that, it was said that Trump’s trial in the case of payment of hush money to an actor of pornographic films was postponed indefinitely and it is not clear whether it will be resumed at all.

The analysis of many observers is that these court cases against Donald Trump would have been pursued until the last stages and he would have been convicted if he had not won the election.

A few days ago, Donald Trump’s vice president, in an opinion whose authenticity was not doubted, said that if he did not win the election, he would have to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

All of these developments so far are completely in the direction of confirming Trump’s statements that the American judicial system is an independent system that has political orientations and is used to target the opposition.

The long-standing tradition of politicizing crimes against opponents

So far, it may seem that Trump has become a victim of a judicial political system and intends to continue the procedure that made him a victim. But if we go further back, we realize that the story is different.

Donald Trump actually used these powers many times before Biden’s presidency and during his first term in the White House to protect his political allies and even his relatives. For example, just hours before the end of his presidency, he had issued pardons to 73 people, including Steve Bannon, his former advisor.

So far, it may also seem that Trump has initiated the game of politicization of the judiciary and has dragged Biden into this game as well. But the story is even older than that, and as The Hill writes, “Politicizing crime and using it to target opponents is a long-standing American tradition.”

“Khalil Gibran Muhammad”, an American historian, explained in his works about how political systems throughout American history have used political crimes and accusations to digest different communities and consolidate political power in favor of white people.
