Amnesty International: Tel Aviv’s behavior in Gaza is genocide and a war crime.
According to Al Jazeera, Amnesty International announced in a report that the severe and inhumane blockade of the Gaza Strip is another proof of Israel’s determination to commit genocide in the region.
In its statement, the legal institution called for an immediate end to the devastating blockade of the Gaza Strip, stressing that the Israeli blockade against Gaza is collective punishment and a war crime based on the use of starvation of civilians as a weapon of war.
According to the statement, the Zionist regime is imposing extremely difficult living conditions on the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip in order to physically destroy them, and this behavior represents genocide in Gaza.
In this regard, Mohammed Al-Mugheer, the director of medical assistance in the Gaza Strip, warned in an interview with Al Jazeera about the unprecedented deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the region.
He emphasized: “Gaza has never experienced such a dangerous humanitarian situation. It is incumbent on the international community and international institutions to take immediate action to save the catastrophic health and safety situation in the region.”
According to the official, the Zionist occupying forces have targeted most of the medical infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and put it out of service.
He added: “We are facing a severe and critical shortage of food for children and we are surprised by the world’s silence in the face of these crimes.”
