On April 28, American warplanes violated Yemeni airspace and bombed Saada province, located in the north of the country. The attacks also targeted a prison controlled by Ansarullah forces, killing more than 60 African migrants who were held there. The prison was known to hold illegal immigrants.

This is while American military officials have not provided any explanation for the reason for the attack on the prison.

Amnesty International stated that these attacks took place despite the fact that there were no specific military targets in the prison, and that targeting hospitals and prisons is prohibited under international law.

The deputy director of the Middle East and North Africa department at the organization emphasized: It is hard to believe that the United States did not know how many human casualties this attack would cause.
