Amsterdam Mayor: Europe Must Support Palestinians.

According to Russia Today, Halsma warned at the Amsterdam City Council meeting about double standards in dealing with human rights crises, saying: “The fate of the people of Gaza deeply affects many residents of the Dutch capital.”

Citing reports from the Netherlands National Institute for Security Studies and international human rights organizations, Halsma added: “Talking about genocidal violence in Gaza is not unreasonable, and now is the time to put aside political differences and focus on saving human lives.”

Stating that the international community, including the Netherlands, must stand up to the human rights violations by the Zionist regime in Gaza, he stressed: “I will send an official letter to the Dutch cabinet and ask them to put pressure on Israel to immediately stop the violence against the residents of Gaza.”

The mayor of Amsterdam also called for practical measures from the Dutch government in this regard, adding: It would be meaningless for the government to state the need to stop the violence in Gaza without taking concrete and practical steps in this regard.

According to IRNA, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “sad and unjustifiable” and said that the Zionist regime must respect international law.

Meloni stated: “I have spoken several times in recent months with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (of the Zionist regime), and these negotiations have often been difficult.”

The Italian Prime Minister added: “I have always emphasized the need to find a way to end the hostilities and respect international law and international human rights. A request that I repeat today.”

The Israeli army’s attacks on the Gaza Strip continue, while the siege and severe hunger have put the lives of the residents of this area at serious risk.

The Zionist regime has closed Gaza crossings to food, medicine, and humanitarian aid since March 2, 2023, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The regime’s severe restrictions on the delivery of vital supplies have placed more than 2 million Palestinians in dire conditions, and international organizations have described these measures as a form of deliberate collective punishment.

As the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Gaza Strip continues, the number of martyrs in the region has reached 52,928 since October 7, 2023, most of whom were women and children.
