The source added that Egypt is angry over Israel’s actions in recent months on various issues, which has eliminated any opportunity for a meeting between el-Sisi and Netanyahu in the near future.

The source also said that Egypt is concerned about Israel’s plan to relocate Palestinians toward the Sinai Peninsula. Tel Aviv has opened the Rafah crossing only for Palestinians leaving the Gaza Strip. In addition, Israel’s failure to sign a gas agreement with Egypt has provoked Cairo’s anger.

Previously, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper claimed that Egypt had set conditions for a meeting between President el-Sisi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with US President Donald Trump present.

Since the start of the Gaza war, Netanyahu and el-Sisi have had no contact. Meanwhile, Hebrew sources reported that Netanyahu is prepared to approve the signing of this gas agreement.
