Analysis by Tel Aviv: We will not win with a ground attack.
The media circles of Tel Aviv criticized the statements of the members of the Zionist regime’s war cabinet that “the war with Gaza is difficult”, and acknowledged: that Hamas cannot be defeated by a ground attack alone; There is inconsistency between the declared goals of the cabinet for the war and this makes the situation difficult.
Today, Sunday, October 29, Israeli analysts questioned the statements of Benjamin Netanyahu, Yoav Galant, and Benny Gantz, members of the Zionist regime’s war cabinet, in the press conference yesterday evening, that a tough war is ahead for Tel Aviv.
According to the report of “Arab48” news site, “Nahum Barnia”, a political analyst of “Yediot Aharonot” newspaper, criticized the fear of Tel Aviv leaders and admitted: “The ground attack on Gaza is bigger than what was described on Saturday night; Its continuity is also smaller than the impression that Netanyahu, Gallant, and Gantz created for us during yesterday’s press conference. This attack will be more extensive than the recent attacks on the Gaza Strip.
According to Barnia, “The ground invasion of Gaza will not be carried out with the aim of advancing the deal for the release of the abducted persons; Rather, from a military point of view, this ground operation will be a separate step, and at least at this stage, it has nothing to do with the release of prisoners.”
“Tal Liv Ram”, a military analyst of “Ma’ariv” newspaper, also noted in this regard: “Although the Israeli army entered the conflict in the Gaza Strip yesterday with many forces, their volume is not greater than the previous ground military operations in the Gaza Strip. We believe that applying military pressure will also help the negotiations for the release of the abducted persons.
This Israeli analyst continues: “Victory over Hamas is not determined by a ground attack alone. And while Israel has very complex goals, it will be difficult to achieve each goal separately and especially by combining with other goals, that is, to defeat Hamas militarily, to topple its power, and to return the abducted people.”
He clarified: “The estimates in the Israeli army are that as we deepen the ground operations in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah will gradually increase its forces and reactive measures from Lebanese soil.”
“Amos Haril”, an analyst of military issues of “Haaretz” newspaper, also noted: “There is a mismatch between the two stated goals of the war – the destruction of Hamas’ sovereignty and resources and the release of kidnapped Israelis.”
He further warned: “Since Israel sent ground forces to the Gaza Strip, military friction has increased in Gaza.” In such a situation, if there is no rapid progress in the negotiations, it will be more difficult to reach an agreement.”
These analyses are published while the army of the occupying regime claims to be ready to expand ground military operations in the Gaza Strip, and at the same time, the families of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas continue to protest against the cabinet’s unwillingness to exchange prisoners with Hamas.
