Anger and concern in Israeli political circles over progress in Iran-US talks.

Anger and concern in Israeli political circles over progress in Iran-US talks.

Citing Al Jazeera Qatar, the Jerusalem Post newspaper, which is based in the occupied territories, revealed, citing sources it said were aware of, that political and security circles in Israel have been “shocked” by the apparent shift in Donald Trump’s stance on Iran.

The report claimed that Trump, who in 2024 called for military action against Iran’s nuclear program, appears to be following a different path in 2025.

According to the report, Israeli officials have expressed particular concern about possible signs of progress toward a new agreement between Trump and Iran; an agreement they claim is “deeply flawed” and could undo past achievements in what they called “containment of Iran’s nuclear activities.”

The Zionist regime has also made great efforts in recent days to prevent an agreement between Iran and the United States.

In this regard, and before the start of the second round of negotiations at the Omani Embassy in Italy, a delegation consisting of the Israeli Minister of Strategy and the head of Mossad traveled to Paris to meet with Steve Whittaker, Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East and the US’s chief negotiator with Iran.

This Zionist delegation aimed to overshadow the Iran-US negotiations before the start of the second round, which seems to have gone nowhere so far.
