PNN – The Minister of Interior of Turkey, by publishing a message on the social network X, announced the implementation of a large-scale operation across the country, which led to the arrest of more than 300 people suspected of having links with the ISIS terrorist group.
According to Pakistan News Network, citing Reuters, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Friday that Turkish authorities arrested 304 people suspected of having links with the Daesh terrorist group during a large-scale operation in 32 provinces of the country.
Yerlikaya published a message on X social network and said that most of the suspects were arrested in three major cities of Turkey, Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. He said that an operation known as “Heroes 34” was implemented simultaneously throughout the country, and during it these arrests were made.
By sharing pictures of the operation that show the police entering the apartments, he said: We will not allow any terrorist to have an opinion on the peace and unity of the Turkish people.
The Turkish police say that they have conducted an operation against Kurdish militia agents inside and outside Turkey in the past weeks.
