PNN – Turkey’s foreign minister announced Türkiye’s opposition to the American president’s proposal to resettle the residents of the Gaza Strip in other countries in the region.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by the website of Russia Alyoum network, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: We are strongly against this proposal. As you remember, the Middle East crisis originally started with the displacement of the Palestinians.
He added: We now support the idea of the right of the Palestinians to form an independent state in their lands in order to permanently solve this crisis and end this conflict.
Fidan also emphasized: Making such a proposal that directly contradicts these ideals is considered a wrong understanding of history. This method (displacement of Palestinians) was tried before, and after that, a decades-long war was formed.

He stated: If this plan is implemented again, a situation will arise that will endanger not only regional peace, but also global security. Imprisoning a region completely is a big mistake, and the policy that Netanyahu is promoting is influenced by American policies.
Turkish Foreign Minister also noted: This mistake should not be repeated. If such policies are implemented, I emphasize once again that the end result will be endless wars.
These statements were made after Donald Trump on Tuesday night called for the complete evacuation of the Gaza Strip and the relocation of its residents to neighboring Arab countries and other areas under the control of the United States of America.
He excused the lack of living conditions in the Gaza Strip due to the extensive destruction caused by the attacks of the Zionist army and ordered the Arab countries neighboring the occupied territories, including Egypt and Jordan, to welcome the people of Gaza and settle them.
Trump had previously demanded the relocation of the people of Gaza to neighboring countries, Jordan and Egypt at the top of them, which brought negative reactions from these countries and other parties.
