Ankara’s emphasis on decisive support for the struggle of the Palestinian people

PNN – In a meeting with a delegation of Hamas leaders in Doha, the Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized Ankara’s strong support for the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and independence.

A delegation of the leaders of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, headed by Mohammad Darwish, the head of the leadership council of this movement, welcomed Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

This delegation included the members of the political bureau of Hamas, Khalid Meshaal, Khalil al-Hiya, Hossam Badran, Mohammad Nezal, Izzat al-Rashq, as well as Taher al-Nunu, the media advisor to the head of this movement.

In this meeting, the leadership of Hamas explained the process of implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, the issue of the exchange of prisoners and the preparations for the start of negotiations of the second phase of this agreement.

The leadership of Hamas pointed out the procrastination of the Zionist regime in implementing the provisions of the humanitarian protocol, especially in important cases such as the arrival of tents, prefabricated houses, fuel, and reconstruction of hospitals, water wells and heavy equipment.

The Hamas delegation emphasized the right of the Palestinian people to have a dignified life and provide basic needs for the immediate start of settlement, reconstruction of roads, and provision of water and food aid and finally the complete reconstruction of the destroyed areas.

On the other hand, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized Ankara’s firm support for the struggle of the Palestinian people on the way to freedom and independence, as well as the need to prosecute the perpetrators of war crimes committed by the Zionist regime.

Referring to Ankara’s support for the stabilization of the ceasefire in Gaza, Turkey’s foreign minister emphasized the importance of speeding up the provision of humanitarian needs of the residents of Gaza and opposing any attempt to displace and evict the people of Gaza from their land.
