PNN – The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held on August 31 and September 1, hosted by the city of Tianjin.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Russia Today, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held on August 31 and September 1, hosted by the city of Tianjin and chaired by President Xi Jinping.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit will be held in Tianjin on August 31 and September 1.

Accordingly, Chinese President Xi Jinping will chair this year’s summit and deliver a keynote speech.

This year’s meeting will also include another meeting titled “Shanghai Plus” with the participation of some other countries.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has become an official member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The other permanent members of the organization are China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.

Other countries, including Mongolia as an observer member, as well as Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, are also dialogue partners of the organization.
